Embedbase.com integration

The YOSA integration with Embedbase.com requires an Embedbase account and at least one collection containing data about your website. This guide walks you through the full process — from registering in Embedbase to connecting the tool inside YOSA.

What do you need

  1. Access to YOSA – you’ll need an account with configuration permissions in YOSA.
  2. Embedbase account – Embedbase provides a single API interface connecting large language models (LLMs) with a vector database. It enables text generation and semantic search across collections (datasets). You’ll need an Embedbase account plus the following:These are required to send queries.
    • Access keys (Public Key and Private Key)
    • Collection ID

Getting access keys and a collection ID in Embedbase

  1. Go to embedbase.com and log in (or create an account if you don’t have one).
  2. In the left menu, open Collections and click Add new to create a new collection — a set of documents that will serve as a knowledge base for semantic search. Give it a name (e.g., yosa-seo) and description, then confirm.

Once the collection is created, you can view its details and start filling it with content for YOSA to use later (more on that in section 4).

  1. Next, go to the Agents section and create a new agent.

Open the created agent by clicking the View button next to it. At the top of the page, you'll see a Link a Collection button. Use it to connect the agent with the previously created collection: select your collection from the dropdown list and click Link.

The agent's status should now change to "Needs Provider API Key," indicating that you still need to add the API key for the LLM provider.

  1. In the agent's left menu, go to Agent Settings. In the Provider Options section, select a provider (e.g., OpenAI) and model (e.g., GPT-4), then paste your provider's API key (you can get one from an external LLM API provider, such as OpenAI [GPT models], Anthropic [Claude] or Google [Gemini]).
  1. Save the settings – the agent should change its status to Operational (green).
💡
If you still see the "Needs Provider API Key" label, make sure the entered API key is correct and that the settings have been saved.
  1. In the agent menu, select API Settings. In the Access Keys section, there are two keys: Public Key and Private Key. For each of them, you can use the Show key or Copy option to display or copy the string.
⚠️
These keys are used to authorize external queries and should be kept secret.

Setting up the integration in YOSA

  1. Log in to YOSA.
  2. In the side menu, go to Work → Integrations, then select Embedbase.
  1. In the configuration form, fill in:
    • Name – something descriptive, e.g., TopOnline
    • Site – choose the website this integration applies to
    • API Key – paste the Private Key from your Embedbase agent’s API settings
  1. Save the configuration. If there’s an error, double-check your key.

Filling your collection with content

The integration only works once data is added to your collection. Embedbase lets you index documents and search them semantically.

To add data:

  1. Return to the EmbedBase panel and open the created collection. Click Add Source – a form will appear where you can choose one of several source types:
    • Domain – you provide a domain address (e.g., https://yoursite.com); the EmbedBase mechanism will read all pages within this domain, creating a knowledge index. This is the most convenient option for fully indexing a website.
    • Page – you insert a single URL that will be indexed. Useful when you want to add specific subpages.
    • File – allows you to upload your own file (e.g., PDF, DOCX) for indexing.
    • Sitemap – you provide the address of a sitemap.xml file; the platform will read all addresses indicated in it. In the form, you need to provide the source name and the sitemap URL.

Choose the appropriate type, fill in the required fields, and click Add new. The system will automatically index the indicated content to the vector database.

  1. After loading data in EmbedBase, YOSA will start using it. In the Collections section of the EmbedBase panel, you can monitor how many documents are in each collection.
The "Idle" status means that the data in the collection is ready for use

Using the integration

  1. In YOSA, start a new chat and select the site linked to Embedbase.
  2. Ask YOSA to create content for a keyword that relates to the data you added.
  3. YOSA will guide you through the entire process and tell you which sources were referenced.

If no data is used, check your API key and make sure documents are properly indexed. If necessary, correct the data or re-add documents in EmbedBase.

Managing your data

Updating

When your site changes, refresh your collection in Embedbase with the Refresh option.

Removing

To delete data from a collection, use the Delete button next to the source.
